These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Robinson Employment Institute, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company doing business as Robinson Employment Law Institute ("RELI", "we", "us"). RELI is founded by the Robinson Family Trust. Our registered office is [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS], and our registered agent is [REGISTERED AGENT NAME AND ADDRESS]. You can reach us at admin@trgtechlink.com.

By creating an account, purchasing a course, or using any part of the service at app.relilaw.org, studio.relilaw.org or admin.relilaw.org (together, the "Service"), you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

RELI sells online compliance education about employment law, organised as courses, modules and lessons and recognised through a rank system. Ranks are marks of course completion awarded by RELI. They are not licences, certifications by any government body, continuing-education credits or professional designations unless a document we issue says so expressly.

The Service provides education, not legal advice. Nothing in a course, an assessment result, a credential or any communication from us is legal advice about your situation, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by using the Service. Please read our Training Disclaimer, which is part of these Terms.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You must give accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account and for keeping your password, passkeys and any authenticator device secure. Tell us at once at admin@trgtechlink.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

One person holds one account. You may not share an account, transfer it, or let another person sit an assessment or complete lessons on your behalf. A credential earned by someone other than the account holder is invalid and will be revoked.

3. Purchases, prices and payment

Prices are shown in United States dollars before you pay. Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. under Stripe's own terms and privacy policy; we never receive or store your full card number or bank account number. By purchasing you authorise Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the stated price and any applicable taxes.

Access to a purchased course is granted to your account when payment is confirmed. We may change prices at any time; a change does not affect a purchase you have already completed.

Sales tax. Where North Carolina or another jurisdiction requires it, tax is added at checkout and shown before you pay. See the note on taxes in section 5.

4. Refunds: our 100% satisfaction guarantee

Our refund policy is part of these Terms. If you are not 100% satisfied with a course, we will pay you all of your money back.

  • Full refund, for any reason. You may request a full refund of a course purchase within [GUARANTEE WINDOW: 30 days recommended, Deon to confirm] days of purchase, for any reason, including after you have completed the course and its final assessment. Requests go to admin@trgtechlink.com from the email address on your account. You do not need to give a reason.
  • We only give full refunds. We do not make partial refunds or price-adjustment refunds; every refund we make returns the whole amount you paid for that course.
  • Effect of a refund. A refund ends your access to the refunded course immediately and automatically, and any lesson progress for that course is no longer reachable through the Service. If a credential was issued for that course, it is revoked, with the refund recorded as the reason on the public verification page.
  • Payment disputes. If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer instead of contacting us, access to the disputed purchase is suspended while the dispute is open and revoked if the dispute resolves against us.
  • Seats bought by an employer. Refunds for seats purchased by an organisation are governed by that organisation's agreement with us and are paid to the purchaser, not to the learner.
  • Timing. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Stripe and your bank determine how long the money takes to appear, typically five to ten business days.

5. Taxes

Prices exclude taxes unless stated otherwise. Where North Carolina or another state requires it, sales tax is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay, based on the address you provide, and is collected and remitted by us. North Carolina treats on-demand digital courses sold by a provider that is not an accredited institution as "certain digital property" subject to State and local sales tax (N.C. Gen. Stat. 105-164.3(33), 105-164.4(a); NCDOR private letter ruling SUPLR 2026-0003). [ATTORNEY AND CPA TO CONFIRM before launch: RELI's NCDOR sales and use tax registration, whether any RELI offering qualifies as a non-taxable educational service, and the economic-nexus position in other states.]

6. Licence to use course content

Course content, assessments, model answers, the rank system, the name Robinson Employment Law Institute, the RELI marks and all software are owned by RELI or its licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to view the content you have purchased, through the Service, for your own learning. You may not copy, record, scrape, redistribute, resell, publish or create derivative works from any content, or use it to train a machine-learning model.

Statutes, regulations and agency guidance quoted in our courses are public documents. We claim no rights in the underlying law, only in our selection, arrangement, commentary and teaching materials.

7. Legal review and content currency

Every published jurisdiction module has been reviewed and signed by a licensed attorney before publication, and each lesson displays the date its citations were last verified. Law changes. We re-verify content on a schedule but we do not promise that any lesson reflects the law on the day you read it. Always confirm a current requirement against the primary source or with counsel before relying on it.

8. Assessments, credentials and public verification

Assessments are scored by the elements of a model answer, and a passing score earns the course's rank credential. Credentials are valid for three years from the date of issue and are renewed by completing the current refresher course for that rank. We may set and change passing standards, attempt limits and retake rules; the current rules are shown in the course.

Each credential carries a reference code. Anyone who has the code can look it up at relilaw.org/verify and see your name as entered on your account, the course title, the rank, the date of issue, the date the credential is valid until and, if applicable, the date and reason of revocation. By earning a credential you consent to that public record. Do not share the code with people you do not want to see it.

We may revoke a credential, with the reason recorded, where it was earned in breach of these Terms, where the underlying purchase is refunded (any refund, under section 4) or charged back, where an assessment was compromised, or where we are legally required to. Revocation is permanent and is visible on the verification page.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to: attempt to access another person's account or data; probe, scan or test the security of the Service; use automated tools to scrape content or verification records; interfere with the operation of the Service; upload unlawful or infringing material; or use the Service to provide legal services to others in a manner that violates the law of any jurisdiction, including North Carolina's prohibition on the unauthorised practice of law (N.C. Gen. Stat. Chapter 84).

10. Employer accounts

Where your access is provided by your employer or another organisation, that organisation can see whether you have completed assigned courses, the dates, and any credential earned. It cannot see your individual answers or question-level scores. Your organisation may withdraw a seat, which ends access provided through that seat but does not remove a credential you have already earned.

11. Disclaimers

The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement and any warranty that the content is complete, current or error-free, or that completing a course will bring you or your organisation into compliance with any law. Completing a RELI course does not guarantee any employment outcome, and does not constitute a legal defence to any claim.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RELI, the Robinson Family Trust, and their members, managers, trustees, reviewers, contractors and licensors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any twelve-month period will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in that period, or one hundred United States dollars, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places these limits apply to the extent allowed.

13. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify RELI against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your reliance on course content as legal advice.

14. Termination

You may close your account at any time by writing to admin@trgtechlink.com. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms, for non-payment, or where required by law, and we may stop offering the Service or any course with reasonable notice. On termination your licence ends; sections 6, 8, 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17 survive. Credentials already earned remain verifiable unless revoked under section 8.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms. We will post the revised Terms with a new revision date and, for material changes, tell you by email or a notice in the Service at least fourteen days before they take effect. Your continued use after that date is acceptance. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service and, if the change materially reduces what you paid for, contact us within the notice period for a full refund of the affected purchase.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY], North Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction. [ATTORNEY TO DECIDE: arbitration clause and class-action waiver, and any consumer-protection carve-outs under the N.C. Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act, N.C. Gen. Stat. 75-1.1.] Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief to protect intellectual property.

17. General

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Training Disclaimer are the entire agreement between you and RELI about the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the business. Notices to us go to admin@trgtechlink.com; notices to you go to the email address on your account.
